Tom Martin has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2007. He is an adjunct lecturer of psychology at Dominican College since 2003 and at Bergen community College since 2012. He is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the New York Mental Health Counselors Association (NYMHCA). He has earned a Master of Arts degree from the Teachers College, Columbia University in Clinical Psychology, and a Master of Science degree from Mercy College in Mental Health Counseling. He has interned at Four Winds Psychiatric Hospital in Katonah, NY; Daytop Village in Blauvelt, NY; and Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg NY. Tom is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist by the Grief Recovery Institute and the American Academy of Grief Counseling, and a Certified Meditation Instructor by the American Institute of Healthcare Professionals and the Center for Koru Mindfulness. Tom Martin is a retired Police Sgt. with over 34 years of service. In addition, he served six years in the U.S. Army Reserve, Military Police Corp.
